Using Flowers to Enhance Curb Appeal

Flowers and Curb Appeal.   “To Plant a Garden Is to Believe in Tomorrow”– Audrey Hepburn.

This time of year, using flowers is a great way to enhance curb appeal if you are trying to sell your home.  Large baskets of brightly coloured flowers and lush greenery are an excellent way to bring instant cheer and colour to your entranceway.

Hanging baskets, containers, and flower gardens are all excellent additions that won’t go unnoticed, or unrewarded.  There are a huge variety of annuals that are both inexpensive and easy additions to any space.

Keeping your lawn fertilized, watered, mowed and trimmed are also easy ways to increase curb appeal this time of year.  I always recommend having shrubs and trees pruned prior to listing a home for sale.

It is amazing the impact that a little curb appeal can have on the most humble of homes.  Buyers are always drawn to bright and cheery spaces- and this is one of the easiest times of the year to maximize your homes potential.

Freshly cut flowers are wonderful placed in vases inside your home, on the kitchen and dining room tables, and tucked here and there.

Don’t underestimate the power of something as simple as curb appeal when preparing your home for sale, for open houses, or for viewings.

Better Homes and Gardens has some excellent ideas for enhancing curb appeal- you can read more about those by clicking here.
