A Quiet Holiday Season

There are very few times of the year that are truly quiet within the Real Estate Industry, but the Christmas Holiday Season is definitely one of those times, and 2016 is proving no different.  It’s actually a very refreshing time, and a great time to focus on 2017 business plans, cleaning out my office, and tying up loose ends.  I love the feeling of starting off 2017 with a clean slate, an organized office, and a brand spanking new planner.  A Passion Planner to be exact!

During the period of December 23rd- 27th only 2 new listings occurred within our Board, and 2 listings were sold.  That is NOT a heck of a lot of activity.  Showings have diminished, and Buyers are taking a bit of a break.  Most of the Real Estate Offices are closed during the period of December 24th to January 3rd at which point, activity should start to ramp up.  Many Buyers make purchasing a new home a New Years Resolution.

This Christmas Season, I can report that there have been no Real Estate Emergencies OR Crisis.  Yes, emergencies and crisis do happen during these slow times- Clients that are being relocated in the New Year, or people that are home for the holidays and are interested in viewing a home while they are here for a few days will need to be efficient with their schedules.

For all you Buyers out there- hang tight- new listings will start cropping up soon, and for you Sellers- don’t stress, activity WILL start to pick up soon!

Merry Christmas Everyone- I hope that you find yourself warm, and filled with peace.
